About Me
I'm Caryn. I work alongside founders and business owners during the seasons when important work has become harder to move than it should be. I bring structure, calm direction, and steady follow-through so progress doesn't depend on one person holding everything together.
But I didn't arrive here by accident.
Where I Come From
Earlier in my career, I served as a military officer. Not the drill sergeant kind. The kind who kept teams aligned, decisions clear, and people moving forward even when circumstances were uncertain.
From there, I moved into strategic HR planning in government and project leadership work, where I learned that most organizational challenges aren't caused by lack of effort or talent. They come from misalignment. Unclear ownership, competing priorities, and work that involves too many people without shared understanding.
Those experiences shaped how I operate today. Steady under pressure. Thoughtful in decision-making. Focused on creating structure that supports people rather than overwhelms them.
How I Work
I'm naturally the calm one in the room. Not because things don't feel urgent, but because I've learned that clear thinking and steady follow-through move work forward faster than urgency ever does.
I listen carefully, ask the right questions, and bring practical direction to situations that feel stuck. I pay close attention to how decisions land on the people involved, not just whether the plan looks good on paper.
Almost five years ago, I started as an executive assistant. Today I sit in quarterly strategy meetings, serve as a sounding board for big decisions, and help founders work through the hardest parts of building something meaningful. That evolution happened because the work kept expanding and because the leaders I partner with needed more than task management. They needed someone they could trust to hold the complexity alongside them.
Outside of Work
When I'm not working, I'm probably planning my next trip. Travel is one of my favorite ways to explore, recharge, and stay curious about the world. I'm also a mom, a reader, and an occasional K-drama enthusiast who values simplicity, balance, and a good story.
